Antonis Moras will tutor at the workshop Place and Locality vs Modernity; examples of emerging new paradigms in Architectural Design that is organized by the National Technical University of Athens in the framework of archi.med.es. The workshop / conference will take place at Technological Cultural Park of Lavrion , Greece in June 16-20 2017. Antonis is also giving a presentation at the conference with Maria Voyatzaki on Utopia_Eutopia_Dyst(r)opia; Prosthetics.
The workshop and the conference are trying to adress issues of identity in Mediterrenean architecture; How the characteristics of a Mediterranean place can inspire contemporary architectural creation in both architectural design level, and in design of public space? The intensive workshop will use as vehicle architectural design themes focusing on innovative and experimental approaches to local cultural heritage and social problems and will inspect how new technologies and environmental issues can serve creatively the above themes.
